no activity on this for more than a year; networkmanager is now the
default configuration, so netcfg is no longer used since feisty -> bug,
if still present, lost its relevance, since it considers deprecated
methods.
If anyone thinks this is still relevant and still existing in feisty,
please reopen this report.
