It’s fine if you report bugs with the PPA here (just say what you’re doing so I don’t mistake you for a confused user). Usually the PPA package is very similar to what will actually end up in the next Ubuntu release, so these reports are sometimes useful. You can check http://bugs.debian.org/src:git to see if the bug was already reported to Debian.
This bug is fixed in Debian unstable with git 1.7.8.3-1, and that version is also in the PPA build queue. Marking Invalid because the bug never made its way into Ubuntu proper. ** Changed in: git (Ubuntu) Status: New => Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/911906 Title: Upgrading git from 1.7.6 to 1.7.8 is broken To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/git/+bug/911906/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
