The workarounds proposed here suggest to overwrite 
/usr/lib/i386-linux-gnu/libc.so proided by libc6-dev.
This might cause problems - specifically, building applications from source 
will fail.

A better solution is:
sudo ln -s /lib/i386-linux-gnu/libc.so.6 /lib/i386-linux-gnu/libc.so

It fixes issues with danted, but leaves libc-dev files intact.
