Public bug reported:

I had a working printer in Lucid (10.04) set up on an HP JetDirect EX
Plus3 talking to a Brother HL1850. Worked well.

Upgraded to Maverick, still worked well.

Upgraded to the "N" word, printing stopped working.

Upgraded to Oneiric, printing still doesn't work.

Symptoms: Print a document, it shows up in the queue, the printer sees
some data, the queue shows the data was sent, but the printer prints
nothing. This printer was tested on both Ubuntu Lucid and LinuxMint 11
fresh installs (in VirtualBox on a Windows XP machine) and works
flawlessly.
