apport-collect refuses to run because I don't have X.
apport-cli refuses to collect data because /var/log/lightdm/:0-greeter.log
does't exist
(which is strange, since the file without the : does exist).
Re bug 825777: I tried doing
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:kernel-ppa/pre-proposed
sudo apt-get update
but it said it couldn't find the i386 packages for that ppa, and
sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
didn't offer any kernel update, nor did the packages it installed
help the problem after reboot.
This plus bug 914038 plus nvidia not working make testing 12.04 alpha 1 very
challenging,
I have achieved zero uptime with graphics so far.
