It's strange that with the same error, one fix works in one case, and doesn't change anything in the other. Can you double check that you have the right version of the plugin ? For example by doing : md5sum /usr/share/gmusicbrowser/plugins/mpris2.pm I get dfe2306837104691869482b9d7dd724d for https://raw.github.com/squentin/gmusicbrowser/c8ebed9f39ee910bdb22ebacff0ffe9696f6e7dc/plugins/mpris2.pm
