I am on Kernel 3.2 in 11.10... using the 12.04 Kernel Package. My grub config is set to: GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash pcie_aspm=force i915.i915_enable_rc6=1"
This has restored a lot of battery life and dramatically dropped the temp the cpu is running at.
