For me it isn't related with banshee. I do not use banshee, although it is
installed.
Today this bug repeated for me, so I want to sum cases that I observed:
1. Last two months it repeated with low frequency (previous freeze was 20 days
ago).
2. alt-f2+r does not work for me.
3. Since frequency of freezes reduced ctrl-alt-backspace started to freeze
after DE restart and new login (before panels loaded, only background appears).
4. Log of freeze: http://pastebin.com/tYF359cJ
Cause of freeze by syslog: gnome-session[1578]: Gdk-WARNING: gnome-session:
Fatal IO error 11 (Resource temporarily unavailable) on X server :0.#012
5. kill -SIGHUP %gnome_shell_proc_ID% refreshes DE, but freezes on clean
background or last active window appearance (no panels).
6. kill -SIGHUP %gnome_shell_proc_ID% freeze syslog:
http://pastebin.com/m1EZjSgC
7. I have default DE without modifications, Linux Mint 12 x86_64 with last
updates, kernel 3.0.0-13-generic, freezes happened in different applications
without noticeable pattern. Laptop Samsung R25plus, video ATI Mobility Radeon
x2300.
