Hi Pre-built Stellarium applications generally need to be built for the version of linux that you are using. I don't have edubuntu so I can't check. My versions of linux are Ubuntu 10.4 and 11.10 The Stellarium application supplied with Ubuntu is 0.11.1 and it runs OK on my platform from the download. However I run 0.11.2 current source 5135 compiled with the standard dependancies Most of the earlier problems were with screen drivers that were not suitable for Radeon displays and the bug reports became redundant after later source development but have not been closed as they should have been when the problems were overcome.
