First, subscribing the whole Stellarium team to the bug activity was an improper move. Don't do it again, please. I have un-subscribed the team, so if any team members are interested in following this, they should subscribe themselves manually.
Second, try to install some other OpenGL applications such as Blender or Google Earth or NASA World Wind and see if they crash, too. If they do, the issue is with your graphics card's driver, not in Stellarium. Third, check what is your graphics card model and see if there are any problems with it on Linux (i.e. search the Web). I vaguely remember seeing recently a bug report for the Linux drivers of an Intel card. Fourth, what is your Ubuntu version and how did you get Stellarium 0.11.1? As far as I know, it's available for Ubuntu only through a PPA. Have you tried the default version for your distribution and does it work? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/916536 Title: stellarium wont start just flashes splash screen then goes off To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/stellarium/+bug/916536/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
