Public bug reported: Running "cobbler check" generates the following:
1 : some network boot-loaders are missing from /var/lib/cobbler/loaders, you may run 'cobbler get-loaders' to download them, or, if you only want to handle x86/x86_64 netbooting, you may ensure that you have installed a *recent* version of the syslinux package installed and can ignore this message entirely. Files in this directory, should you want to support all architectures, should include pxelinux.0, menu.c32, elilo.efi, and yaboot. The 'cobbler get-loaders' command is the easiest way to resolve these requirements. It could be clearer that Ubuntu has syslinux installed, and these drivers aren't needed. If you do download the drivers, they are fetched from: http://dgoodwin.fedorapeople.org/loaders which seems like unnecessary reliance on infrastructure outside of Ubuntu ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 11.10 Package: cobbler 2.1.0+git20110602-0ubuntu26.1 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.0.0-14.23-generic-pae 3.0.9 Uname: Linux 3.0.0-14-generic-pae i686 ApportVersion: 1.23-0ubuntu4 Architecture: i386 Date: Wed Jan 18 13:03:08 2012 PackageArchitecture: all ProcEnviron: PATH=(custom, user) LANG=en_US.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash SourcePackage: cobbler UpgradeStatus: Upgraded to oneiric on 2012-01-18 (0 days ago) ** Affects: cobbler (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Assignee: Andres Rodriguez (andreserl) Status: New ** Tags: apport-bug i386 oneiric -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/918350 Title: "cobbler check" should be cleared about not needing network boot drivers To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/cobbler/+bug/918350/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
