Public bug reported:
With the help of Trism in #ubuntu+1, I did the following to obtain this
information:
Made /usr/share/dbus-1/services/indicator-datetime.service look like:
[D-BUS Service]
Name=com.canonical.indicator.datetime
#Exec=/usr/lib/indicator-datetime/indicator-datetime-service
Exec=/bin/bash -c '/usr/lib/indicator-datetime/indicator-datetime-service &>
/tmp/indicator-datetime-$(date +%H%M%S).log'
The resultant file hit 1MB not a minute after boot. It contains line
after line of the following:
Indicator-Datetime-WARNING **: Address provider changed. Let's change
Indicator-Datetime-WARNING **: Unable to get Geoclue address: Geoclue
master client has no usable Address providers
The same result happened even with "Set the time" set to "Manually."
I am using Geoclue version 0.12.0-1ubuntu11, as well as indicator-
datetime version 0.3.1-0ubuntu3 on Ubuntu 12.04.
** Affects: geoclue (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
** Tags: cpu indicator-datetime
