Hi there, Thanks for your bug report. You're running Ubuntu 10.10. It may be prudent to upgrade to 11.04, or preferably 11.10, as it's possible that you're problem is fixed in a newer version of Ubuntu. Also, 10.10 will no longer be supported starting in April, so there's another reason to upgrade! In any case I'm re-targeting this to alsa-driver for you, as that's the correct package for a problem like this. If upgrading doesn't solve your problem, or isn't an option, hopefully someone more familiar with debugging sound problems can help you out.
