I'm seeing exactly the same behaviour on Dapper. Auto-detect reports the wrong camera, yet i can go into gphoto2 --shell and manipulate images. I can also use gphoto2 --get-all-files to get the files. However, when i plug it in and the dialog box pops up, it shows up as the Argus DC-1510, and i can't select a different model using the "Select a camera model" button.
