  After a resume from suspend, the screen stays black on my Dell E6510.
  I've bisected the kernel and the upstream commit that introduced the bug is  
cd9dde44f47501394b9f0715b6a36a92aa74c0d0.
  
  I've attached a patch to revert this commit.
