Ben if your usb mouse has an ID of 1267:0210 it is affected by a kernel bug in 2.6.20. Read the kernel bug report I linked to earlier in this thread. Using the patch in the kernel bug report with a 2.6.20 kernel or doing what I did and just give up on ubuntu kernels and use something more recent fixes the problem.
Between 2.6.20-rc4 and 2.6.20-rc5 a work around was added for Logitech DiNovo Edge (0x046d/0xc714) which remapped a few things. This broke some mice because the USB HID was not mapping what it was told by the mouse because of the Logitech DiNovo work around. The kernel patch fixes the mappings for the mouse. Later on found that if the 1267:0210 mouse was plugged into a a ps/2 port using a usb - ps/2 adaptor then the mouse works as expected. This bug is only in the usb layer. -- [Feisty] Middle click fails with no action https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/83571 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
