Public bug reported: SiS 65x/M650/740 VGA adapter works strangely on high resolution.
The 1680x1050 LCD monitor is connected using DVI cable. It works properly on 1280x960 resolution. If I choose 1680x1050, weird things happen: * mouse pointer disappears at certain screen areas and becomes visible on other ones * The mouse pointer can not reach the most topmost pixels and stops in 5 mm from there. Somehow clicks works properly even if the mouse pointer appears not to be there This is on ubuntu oneiric 11.10 i386. # dpkg -l | grep xserver-xorg-video-sis ii xserver-xorg-video-sis 1:0.10.3-3 X.Org X server -- SiS display driver The card is allocated 32MB of memory (from the BIOS). Attached to the bug the /var/log/Xorg.log.0 file. ** Affects: xserver-xorg-video-sis (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/920936 Title: SiS 65x/M650/740 works strangely on high resolution To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-video-sis/+bug/920936/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
