Audacious 3.2+ won't compile with the FFaudio input plugin enabled on Ubuntu (Precise Pangolin included) because it needs FFmpeg 0.9+. This happens since Audacious' ffaudio plugin is using avcodec_decode_audio4() instead of avcodec_decode_audio3(), now deprecated.
A quick and dirty workaround consists in undoing commit 166902832b0e94d090acaf1c31688e70668388ac (https://github.com/audacious- media-player/audacious- plugins/commit/166902832b0e94d090acaf1c31688e70668388ac) to bring back avcodec_decode_audio3() and the compatibility with FFmpeg 0.7+. ** Patch added: "undo commit 166902832b0e94d090acaf1c31688e70668388ac" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/audacious/+bug/889585/+attachment/2691091/+files/ffmpeg07compat.diff -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/889585 Title: Audacious is pretty outdated in Ubuntu repositories (new upstream release: audacious 3.2) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/audacious/+bug/889585/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
