I think I am experiencing this bug though I am using a MacBookAit 4,2. The keyboard works well when I am typing my password to login. They first key presses work after login, but they become unreliable. My touchpad does not work either. I think trying to use the touchpad make the key presses more unreliable. I went to console 1 to report a bug, then went back to the desktop to look at what was installed, I used the touchpad by accident and saw that it worked.
WORKAROUND The keyboard and touchpad can be made to work by switching away from X then back to it. 1. Press <Control>+<Alt>+<Fn>+F1 to go to console 1. 2. Press <Control>+<Alt>+<Fn>+F7 to return to the desktop. 3. Verify that the keyboard responds immediately to your typing and that the touchpad will scroll. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/903655 Title: Macbook Air 4,1 keyboard unusable after upgrading to Precise To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/903655/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
