Public bug reported:

Ubuntu 10.04 LTS
xchat-GNOME 0.26.1

Since a few days - when I start xchat-gnome (I normally use QuakeNet
server) after I try to login to any channel - xchat closes without any
error-message. Every time!

If I don't join any channel on QuakeNet I can connect to Ubuntu-Server
and join a channel.

But if I join a channel on QuakeNet (after happily using the Ubuntu-
Server) xchat apports.

In shell (if I start Xchat thereI I get this error:
(xchat-gnome:4079): GLib-CRITICAL **: g_strsplit: assertion `string != NULL'
failed

Hope it helps.
