Install Ubuntu on a machine for which Compiz is installed by default. 2. Restart into Ubuntu, and open a window. 3. Hold down the mouse or touchpad button on the window's resize area, and move the pointer. What happens: A brown or orange rectangle appears, at the size the window will be, until you release the button. What should happen: The window resizes as you drag.
