forget my above comment if you are not talking about unity hud. like if you are talking about unity hud than if we press <alt> than its for the top bar menus and we open it from there. and as you again mentioned that <alt+e > than i am able to open the top bar menus with this shortcuts. firstly please confirm that your system is fully update.
