D. Hugh Redelmeier (hugh-mimosa)'s Netbooting workaround works for me too. I also believe it is a wired driver problem. It happens with several different wireless drivers.
Acer Aspire AO722 (amd C-60) Linux Mint 12 w/3.0.0-12-generic kernel (yes, I know its not Ubuntu, but it should help you guys narrow down the problem right?) To clairify the procedure for the less experienced: 1. Turn on the laptop 2. Press the F2 key when the bios screen pops up. 3. Once in the bios, use the arrow keys to select the 'Boot' menu. 4. Use the up/down arrow keys to highlight 'Network boot' 5. Press the F6 key to move 'Network Boot' to the top of the list. 6. Press F10 to save and exit. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/785569 Title: Ubuntu 11.04 freeze on Acer AO 522 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/linux/+bug/785569/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
