You have been subscribed to a public bug: For the handling of color profiles "colord"[1] is used in Lubuntu. But there is no graphical software to control it and for example create a monitor device and add a profile to it.
In gnome there is "gnome color manager" (gcm)[2] for handling color profiles. It does a little bit more, like supporting the process of calibrating your monitor. But gcm has quite a lot of gnome dependencies to function, so I don't like to install it. As far as I understood it colord has all the functionality I would like to use. You can use colord via command line or via dbus. So a small gui app, calling the right dbus commands seems to be enough. :) [1] golord: http://www.freedesktop.org/software/colord/index.html [2] gcm: http://projects.gnome.org/gnome-color-manager/ ** Affects: lubuntu-meta (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- [feature reguest] graphical frontend for colord in Lubuntu (like "gnome color manager" for gnome) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/923519 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
