I just browsed a bit of net with Firefox and then the machine was idle
most of the time. When i returned unity-panel-service takes 6.4 GB of
result set and 11.9 GB of virtual memory. This all consumes my 8 Gb of
RAM and 8 Gb of swap space.

I have 64-bit Ubuntu 11.10 with latest updates. This problem has occured
at least 3 times in the past month.
