I think merging the window decorators is a great idea. But I don't know
if and when Sam planned doing it.

Title:
[unity-window-decorator] semi-maximized windows still have rounded
  corners

Status in Ayatana Design:

Status in “compiz” package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
With unity-window-decorator, windows keep their rounded corners even
  when semi-maximized.

But it would give better visual feedback to the user if a window loses
the rounded corners when it's semi-maximized. Like gtk-window-
decorator does already. (why is unity-window-decorator different?)
