I was aware of that problem, yes, this is why I don't use UUIDs, I use disk-IDs.
But UUIDs or not doesn't change the result, cuz yes I did a byte-per- byte copy BUT even if I totally unplug the original disk and boot with ONLY the cloned disk plugged in, it's the same behavior, a blank screen at GRUB2 and only ctrl-alt-del works.
