The problem still exists in the Daily Build from 1 Feb 2012. Running the iso in a VirtualBox (version 4.1.8) VM with PAE enabled.
The mouse cursor appears in the center of the screen and then once the box comes up asking to try or install ubuntu, the mouse curser vanishes and is not visible after that. The mouse pointer is working, because if I right click on the background then I get the background menu and from there I can create an empty document. The empty document icon appears on the VM screen. I can then left click on that icon and gedit opens. So the problem is that the mouse cursor is not visible. Xorg.0.log says config/udev: Adding input device ImExPS/2 Generic Explorer Mouse (/dev/input/mouse1) No input driver specified, ignoring this device This device may have been added with another device file. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/924014 Title: Cursor not visible in virtualbox install of ubuntu 12.04 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/924014/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
