hardware: Fujitsu Lifebook A531 with 1 extra external screen connected


Very frequently (often multiple times a day) the system seems to freeze. The 
mouse is still active but I can't select anything.  Switching to text console 
sometimes works, sometimes switching doesn't work at all anymore.  Killing the 
X server the hard way doesn't work either.
