Hello, I'm having a similar problem with my travelmate 8372. The first time I "hotplugged" the docking station and all worked just fine, except the LAN port. After a reboot, not only the LAN but even the two USB ports doesn't work any more. Tried to hotplug it again and reboot many times but I was not able to have the USB working again. Using Windows Seven on the same notebook, I have no problem so it's not an hardware problem. Watching the mouse light I can state that the port is working before boot. I can even use the keybord to select the boot option, but when Ubuntu 11.10 starts the boot process all the USBs stop working.
