Thanks Ludovic for the quick reply & pointer. I Will recompile the source to keep the card powered on.
However that might explain (?) the VirtualBox scenario, not the VMware one (the card is powered on / LED is green -- it's even flashing yellow signaling something is actually read from the card when the device is inserted). Not sure I made it clear above, but in the VMware case I left the "pcscd" logging on for quite a while before I killed pcsd / device was removed from guest / etc etc.. Anyway, I'll pull the source and try to recompile with "#define DISABLE_ON_DEMAND_POWER_ON" and report back. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/925683 Title: ActivIdentity USB token not powering/working in a VM (VirtualBox / VMware) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/pcsc-lite/+bug/925683/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
