Public bug reported:
Workaround: Add the following line to the end of the file
/etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf and reboot
options snd_hda_intel model=acer-aspire
This step should not be necessary, the sound hardware should be detected
and work out of the box.
Ubuntu 11.10 amd64. Acer Aspire 1551 laptop.
