thanks for the effort.  I tried installing but i did not succeed.  as far as i 
understand, the perl version currently installed (and needed for apache2) is 
not compatible with this version.  Or probably I did this completely wrong, i'm 
not that experienced with Linux.
anyway, i had to remove and install mrtg again to get it running again, because 
the installed version refused to run correctly
