Thanks for filing this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. I took a
look at these issues tonight and here's what I found out:
The first issue you filed seems to have been fixed since oneiric
(11.10). I tried it on oneiric and in precise and it worked fine. I
also checked the code and found that at some point at or before version
1.2.63-0ubuntu4. Unfortunately from the changelog and patch, I cannot
tell exactly when this was fixed.
The second issue you mentioned is already filed as a separate bug,
#695118, and that issue still exists. We can track the status of that
issue in the other defect.
I am going to mark this as Incomplete so that you can respond, if the
issue is fixed, please mark the bug as Invalid.
