Hi, I read in the bug report for the sensors-applet (Bug #94558) that there was a problem in hdd-temp with invalid characters in the hdd description, so I installed the version 0.3-beta15-36 of hdd-temp. This resolves the problem with the name of the hdd and a glitch in the sensor-applet of gnome. But I have still a non functioning xsensors, xfce-sensors-applet and sensors. The "new" hdd-temp didn't change anything for my problem.
$ ls /proc/acpi/thermal_zone THZN THZV $ cat /proc/acpi/thermal_zone/THZN/temperature temperature: 54 C $ cat /proc/acpi/thermal_zone/THZV/temperature temperature: 67 C $ sudo hddtemp /dev/sda /dev/sda: HTS548080M9AT00: 40°C It looks like everything is there but isn't used by sensors I guess. Maybe I'm wrong with setting up the sensors or missed something. But gkrellm and sensors-applet (gnome) does show the right information. Any hints are welcome. Just ask for more debug info. Greetings Dan -- gkrellm can show / sensors can't show the hardware sensors https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/112502 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
