The man program really can't go munging the contents of manual pages on the fly like this, at least not without a serious artificial intelligence upgrade. I'm reassigning this to the package that owns the manual page in question, but I doubt much can be done about this; there's simply no mechanism, or anything close to it, for that kind of on-the-fly annotation in the manual page system.
