Public bug reported:
Compiz (running on VMWare platform ) consumes excessive CPU time and
memory ( 434.9 MiB) . Makes UI totally unresponsive.
See attached screenshot of system monitor.
BTW - attempted to report error using APPORT - but there were
autogenerated TAGS in the bug report which would not allow the page to
be submitted.
