Well, apparently if nobody comments on this issue, it just keeps getting
ignored. So I can fully understand ilf's sarcasm. It's just annoying
that Ubuntu focuses on making "pretty" GUIs (which look IMHO like
disgustingly cheap Mac OSX clones) and a security vulnerability just
sits there for MONTHS literally with at least 7 differents reports of
the same issue. Way to tell your users what your focus is on. Then
again, the choice of distro is ours. And judging from that Unity
nonsense and security prioritization my decision is to move away from
Ubuntu anyways.  I'll keep it installed as long as it seems to make
sense, but will migrate with new installations. No hard feelings.
