Joshua, Did you created the postgresql database? (Please check /usr/share/doc/tinyerp-server/README.Debian) See the values on /etc/default/tinyerp-server
Check it, when you start the server it automatically creates many tables. By default, the installation creates the user admin/admin and demo/demo. Check if you can connect as demo and see the example data. You may start the server from the commandline and see the logs: sudo su - terp /usr/sbin/tinyerp-server Any other comment I will happyly help you.
