Public bug reported:

I have had a next to unusable internet connection with my wireless card
for my desktop (where I am living, a wired connection is simply not an
option).

When I start up the computer from a reboot, it connects to the correct
wireless network. But when I try and open a webpage, for instance, it
becomes unbearable. It often takes 5 minutes just to load google. What
is strange is that my internet comes in "bursts", and when the page
finally does load, it does so quickly. Then it stops again and is slow.

I do not think that the router is a problem because my laptop, as well
as some other computers all connect just fine with fast speeds.

Furthermore, I have tried numerous solutions such as the "options ath9k
nohwcrypt=1" and compiling the compat-wireless drivers from source.

Thanks
