This one might be a duplicate of Bug #603594
After a firefox upgrade from the backports from lucid 10.4 the safe bookmarks
dialog doesn't open when using the CTRL+D shortcut or clicking on "Bookmark
this page" in the menu. Instead it saves the bookmarks directly in the
"Bookmarks Menu" directory.
And yepp, I tried it in safe-mode and also with a new firefox-profile.
first I had this problem on my PC (64bit architecture) as well as on my laptop
(i386 architecture).
But it vanished on my PC wondrously after clicking to times at the little star
icon. After doing that once the Bookmarks dialog pops up the way it's supposed
to do (even after relaunching firefox). However that didn't work on my laptop.
