On thing I remember I have added a external repository yesterday:
deb http://build.openmodelica.org/apt nightly-ubuntu contrib
and also imported with succes the key.
But, anyway apt has not to crash when there is an additional
repository(Software installation from therework succesfull).
Also the repository affect no sytem core relevant software, only the
peripheri.
