On the login screen, my name shows as "Christopher Kyle Horton". This is
long enough to run under the session menu cog so the two overlap each
other, and it looks ugly.

It would be nice if the login box could resize to accomodate longer
names, or if the old fading effect used on the end of longer names was
added back in, or something similar.
