Solution at #20 only works sometimes, maybe the problem is related to the usb modem firmware 'freezing' or 'stalling', as the only way to re- establish internet connection seems to be to withdraw the modem and reinsert it. (I have recently upgraded firmware but the problem remains.)
I am trying two separate suggestions on that assumption: George Vita's suggestions for a usb patch cable (http://forum.huawei.com/jive4/thread.jspa?threadID=323666) and usb device node reset described by roman10 (http://www.roman10.net/how-to- reset-usb-device-in-linux/). -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/905622 Title: Mobile broadband fails after dropout To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/network-manager/+bug/905622/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
