Fabio, I do not know exactly what I have to do to get the info you need. Giving me commands like Anthony would be easier.
Anthony, I tried to experiment something, and this happened: I made an alternate install of 12.04 alpha2, and made a wlan0 succesful connection from the text-setup. Maybe configuration for my home network stayed after setup, because I can connect to and only my home wifi. However, Network applet and Network Manager still display "device not managed". 'ndiswrapper -l' command showed me it was not installed. I installed 'ndiswrapper-common' as suggested by system. After installation, the results were: 'Error: unable to find a version of ndiswrapper!' I ran "apport-collect 929969" as told, and authorized connection to LP, but I do not know if it did anything. Can you tell me if there is anything more I should do? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/929969 Title: Atheros Wireless "device not managed" on 12.04 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/929969/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
