Updated the kernel to "Linux 3.0.0-16-generic-pae i686" This resolved
the Hibernate and Suspend Issues. Reboot and Shutdown still do not
function.
I tested the kernel update with the menu options for Suspend and
Hibernate, the keyboard shortcut (Fn key F4) and by shutting the lid on
the laptop. In all three cases both Suspend and Hibernate behaved
properly.
