Public bug reported:

When the computer is booted, the first keystroke is ignored. GDM loads, but
when I type in a username, it does not accept the first character I type.
Others on the forum have experienced this issue:
http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=428274 . Those postings suggest it
happens in GDM, KDM, and at a text login, so I am not sure what package is the
issue. The following does appear in my dmesg:
[ 141.122961] input: AT Translated Set 2 keyboard as /class/input/input5
This only happens on boot, if I log in and log out, or log in as another user,
GDM will accept all of my keystrokes. I am using a ps/2 keyboard. This is on
feisty with all updates.

     Importance: Undecided
