Hi Andrew, Your bug (Low res icon in Dash) is fixed in pingus 0.7.6 release, which is in Debian testing and unstable since December 27 2011. If you wanna see your bug fixed in Ubuntu 12.04 - ping Ubuntu developers to sync pingus 0.7.6 package from Debian testing, see Launchpad.net bug #934174
