Thank you for reporting this bug. However this issue is not present in
the latest unity 5.4 available in Ubuntu 12.04. When searching for
update in the application or home lens, it only shows update manager.
However if you press Alt+F2 and then search for update, it then shows
update-alternatives etc which is the correct behaviour.
Hence marking this bug as fix released.
