I know it looks better in precise right now, but unfortunately that is
due to bug 924736. After we fixed that bug, this problem returned (which
you will see in a precise update some time soon).
I agree, it would be nice for semi-maximized / grid-placed windows to
lose the round corners still. But a different fix (and design feedback)
is required.
